Established in 2002 by Legislative Decree No: 36, the Tender Board is an independent, regulator of government procurement practices in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Tender Board works to promote effective and efficient government procurement practices and systems through a strict regulatory mechanism designed to ensure the utmost fairness and equal opportunity. The Board collaborates with the public sector Purchasing Authorities, and local, regional and international contractors and suppliers, in order to ensure equality, transparency and competitiveness in all government tendering and purchasing practices. The Tender Board has built bridges of cooperation between the public sector Purchasing Authorities, and local, regional and international contractors and suppliers, in order to ensure excellence, fairness and competitiveness in all government tendering and purchasing practices. These strong partnerships have created the foundation for a world-class regulatory environment that facilitates private sector growth, and boosts global investor confidence in the Kingdom of Bahrain as a preferred place to do business.

Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman was established under the Act (1) for the year 1968, issued by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman. The department began to practice its functions and responsibilities entrusted to it in the field of development and services. The department has witnessed successive developments in its administrative structure to keep pace with economic and social developments of the emirate. And working on achieving the Department Strategy and the Emirate Vision 2021 "Sustainable environment while developing a modern infrastructure in Ajman." The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) is working to deliver safe, clean, efficient and reliable electricity to the UAE grid, using peaceful nuclear energy technology while developing Emirati talent and building a sustainable civil nuclear energy sector.

The Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant – an Engine of Growth for the UAE
The Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant is the first peaceful nuclear energy plant in the Arab World and consists of four nuclear reactors with a total generating capacity of up to 5,600MW. The plant will provide up to 25% of the UAE’s energy with zero emissions.
Each Unit at the Barakah Plant will operate for 60 or more years. To ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation, ENEC and its subsidiary in charge of operations, Nawah Energy Company (Nawah), require a robust supply chain capable of meeting the high quality requirements of the nuclear industry.To support the development of a nuclear energy industry and supply chain in the UAE, ENEC established a dedicated Industrial Development Team to work alongside local companies to ensure they meet the strict quality and technical standards required to tender for contracts for the country’s nuclear energy program. ENEC supports these companies to upgrade their systems and obtain the necessary certifications to become approved suppliers.
To date, more than 2,000 local companies have been awarded contracts totaling more than 17.5 billion AED (4.8 billion US dollars) for the construction of the Barakah plant. Further opportunities are available for the delivery of high-quality goods and services for the plant’s 60 year operational lifetime.
Program Status:
The Barakah Plant started construction in 2012 and is now more than 94% complete. The status of each Unit at Barakah is:• Barakah Unit 1 started-up in July 2020 and connected to the UAE electricity grid, delivering the first megawatts of clean electricity to the nation• Barakah Units 2, 3 and 4 are progressing safely and steadily, and are at different stages of commissioning and construction:- Unit 2 completed construction in June 2020- Unit 3 is more than 94% complete- Unit 4 is more than 86% complete
