Dr. Bahzad has more than 30 years of experience in government and an extensive academic background. Prior to joining the Tender Board, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Communications Centre. He was previously Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Washington, US, and held a number of positions with the Bahrain Defence Force. Dr Bahzad holds a PhD in Systems Engineering, specialising in Risk Management and Analysis, from George Washington University, US; an MBA from the University of Bahrain; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Engineering from the Military Technical College in Cairo, Egypt.
